This recipe is good and healthy . Is one of my favorite and i can have everyday i never get tired of it, or you can make in a big pot and keep. also it really good if you thinking want lose weight.
Ingredients
- 200 grams shelled prawns
- 1 cup of one of the following: cauliflower, sponge gourd-ivy guard leaves, baby corn
- 1/2 cup sweet basil leaves
Ingredients spice mixture
- 10 pepper corns
- 10 shallots
- 1 tbsp. shrimp paste
- 1/2 cup dried shrimp or fish
- 2-3 tbsp. fish sauce
- 4 cups stock or water
Preparation
- Place spice mixture ingredients in a mortar and pound until mixed thoroughly.
- Add spice mixture to soup stock or water in a pot and heat to boiling. stirring to prevent sticking. Do not cover the pot or allow boil over.
- Wash the vegetables. Peel the gourd, and cut into 1 1/2 inch strips, cut the cauliflower and baby corn into bite size.
- When the water boil, add fish sauce. add prawns, vegetables and boil. When vegetables are done, taste and add fish sauce or salt as desired, then remove from heat.
